Thank you, 2016!

A year is about to end again. And aside from celebrating the holidays, let me take this chance to celebrate the Lord’s goodness and faithfulness in my life for this whole year. How do I thank thee?

Thank you for the year full of grace. I may have fallen short of the Lord’s glory and goodness, still, He never leave me. Instead, He taught me lessons that I will never forget – to be humble and grateful all the time – whether I am in a season of joy or testing.
Thank you for all the doors that have been opened, it was a leap of faith to really enter in but I enjoyed that season of my life. And I just know that there is more to come. I am bracing myself for more!

Thank you for the friendship; good friends have stayed, new friends also came. And in one way or another, they’re all have been part of my growth as a person. I won’t undo anything about everything because I still believe that everything happens for a reason.

Thank you because after being sick for the first quarter of the year, I was able to value life more and everything in it. As a Christian, I don’t believe in the saying that “you only live once” because I know I have a better life up there. But I wanna make sure that I was able to live my temporary life here with a fulfilled purpose. And I am thankful that I was able to take a small step this year.

Thank you for all the inspiring words shared to me, for the gift of family everywhere I go, for all the new stories and poems I have written, for the things I kept on calling mistakes but taught me lessons I won’t forget, for being able to try new things and see new places, for the treasured memories, photos, journal entries, letters, for the people who never fail to remind me that I am important and I can do something greater for the Lord, for that thing called crush and every kilig moments I had, and for the unfailing love and support from my family.

I have a lot of things to be thankful for, so for the unsaid things, I have kept them in my heart. Thank you, Lord for this year. Thank you, 2016 and cheers for a great 2017!
